This policy covers cookies on Switchboard.

The short version

[SB] Switchboard sets only the cookies it needs to sign you in and keep you signed in. All of them are strictly necessary. None are for analytics or advertising. No third party sets a cookie on our pages. There is nothing to accept or reject.

[SB] Dismissing the cookie notice is remembered in this browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

[SB] Cookies Switchboard uses

[SB] Each cookie Switchboard sets is HttpOnly (the page’s JavaScript cannot read it), SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production.

• sb_session — the signed-in session. Lives 30 days and slides forward as you keep using Switchboard.
• sb_signin_pending — the multi-Org chooser handshake after an address is proved. Lives 10 minutes.
• sb_signin — the single-use sign-in link path, while you choose an organization. Lives at most as long as that link (15 minutes).
• sb_oauth — the Google, Microsoft, or Apple handshake: state and PKCE. Lives 10 minutes.
• sb_signup — the signup ticket after an address is proved, until you name the organization. Lives 1 hour.
• sb_site — the site password gate during beta. Lives 30 days.

[SB] The cookie notice itself does not set a cookie.
